Curtis, table and lamp Every other weekend I work in a fabric store selling fabrics and curtains. I don't like curtains, I never have. I'm very fond of working with things I don't like. Curtis, which I'm presenting for the first time at Designers Block in Milan 2007, is an outcome of me embracing things I don't fancy. Curtis is a table and a lamp draped with fabric just like curtains.
Mogg, stool Continuing on the theme, I like to work with things I dislike, Mogg is inspired by typical Swedish allmoge (peasant) furniture. I was watching the antiques road show one evening and saw a fantastic old peasant cupboard. It wasn't the design of the cupboard but the worn painting displaying several layers of old paint that caught my fascination. Mogg is a stool painted several times and then sandpapered decoratively.
